Rydeordie : Life lessons, reflections, 22bb and the dark world

RydeOrDie is an underground hip-hop artist spanning off in various realms of music based around the environment he is surrounded by.

Rydeordie is an artist working in affiliation with Dark World, an on-the-rise artist collective owned by DJ Lucas residing out of the 413, better known as western Massachusetts.

Going from personal releases into special features under his own independent alias with the crew members of the Dark World, he eventually went off to become a part of a group project known as 22BB with eRATT and Finesse Fresco, which led to the release of numerous EPs and several albums over the last of couple years, dating back to mid-2020!

However the new 22BB wave isn’t exactly how Rydeordie found his start in terms of making music and expressing himself through the rhyming art form, on the side of actually getting recognition in the underground scene…

He originally started freestyling and rapping back when he was 15 (2011), and ended up getting into actually making music around the age of 17 or 18 (around 2013). Starting with smaller releases back in the early 2010s under his alias Rydeordie, leading into collaborations with other artists all over the Dark World, like DJ Lucas, Weird Dane, Luka, Branchez, Topprraaa and many others.

Over time, RydeOrDie has developed and crafted a unique sound of his own with the influence of his environment, on top of the things he takes inspiration from the most. Those things being himself for the sake of self-motivation as well as the people in his life that “make [him] wanna do better”…

RydeOrDie makes music and continues to create purely to express himself,

because it’s “free… free for [him]…”

Aside from the music, Ryder is a very down-to-earth and passionate character, taking pride in the things that he is a part of and the things that made him into who he is now. An all around cultured and unique identity inside and outside of music, taking elements from all sorts of different variables that played a massive part in his life growing up, like being raised in Massachusetts, being a part of the dynamic 413 music scene, engaging in multiple diverse subcultures and utilizing his surroundings to make the most out of the little things!

A market-smart, business-oriented mindset that’s well in touch with the important things in life, like keeping connected with the family, having a controlled yet active social life, maintaining a balanced lifestyle, spending time outside and making constant improvements on personal habits to better the future; for himself and his loved ones.

He has a diverse performing history dating back to late 2016, with a credible experience in doing shows all across the northeast of the United States with many other incredibly talented artists of endless different backgrounds in the music world, locally and nationally, such as Kenny Beats, Wiki, Don Gadi, Chris Focus, almost all members of the Dark World and so many other artists of similar realms in hip-hop!
